The Yoga of Kirtan: Conversations on the Sacred Art of Chanting book and CD package is the latest work from Steven Rosen, also known as Satyaraja Dasa. The 504-page book has 21 interviews of popular kirtan leaders in the Western world, which give an insight to their personal discovery of the spiritual practice of chanting the many names of God. It is easy to read, educational, enjoyable, enlightening, entertaining, and a must-read for the beginning and advanced kirtan yogis alike. Amazing!
The over 70-minute CD, which comes with the book, has 11 tracks from the interviewed artists, including Jai Uttal’s “Radharani Ki Jai” which is the audio sample on this page, and a previously unreleased live kirtan performance by Krishna Das. What more can one ask?
