This is a live concert recording, “Lost in Bliss”, which I produced for the Society for Universal Sacred Music during Kinnar’s concert at the 1st Festival of Universal Sacred Music at the Ethical Culture Society in Manhattan, NY.
Track 2 is an extraordinary sitar duet: Kinnar plays together with his brother Manu Seen, also on sitar, and Samir Chatterjee on tabla. The purpose of this CD is to focus on the devotional feeling present in instrumental music.
Kinnar Seen is a sitarist, tablaist, vocalist, composer, educator. He is a brilliant teacher and has hundreds of students. He has taught me and one could not hope for a teacher with more patience and generosity. He has the gift of transferring teachings by the intensity of his focus on his student’s learning.
