Midsummer Night in Lapland, Finland

Thick, black clouds covered the midnight sun in Rovaniemi. The rain only stopped while the bonfire was burning at midnight.
My iPod played “Love Remains the Same” by the Finnish rock band, von Hertzen Brothers, whose fan I am now. They remind me of one of my old favorites, Led Zeppelin, and my many white nights in Lapland in the days long ago. Stars in Finland, I only discovered them after I fell in love with a song that the lead singer, Mikko von Hertzen, a devotee of Amritanandamayi Ma, wrote for Amma to sing in English. In fact, he writes all his songs to his Guru, Amma, including the ones on this CD. Sweet!
